Hasbro just announced the launch of new figurines for the widely know classic “Jurassic Park”.

If you are a fan of the saga, can now get various dinosaur figurines that will take you right into the Jurassic Park world.

Amongst the different products that will be launched by Hasbro is the “Jurassic Park Basic” box set, which includes two action figures so that kids 4 yrs and up can create their own unique Jurassic adventures; and the “Deluxe” set, which includes one dinosaur figurine as well as an accessory named the “Dino Tracker”, which tracks the giant reptiles.  Also available are find sets comprising of electronic dinosaur figurines, like the Tyrannosaur Rex which makes life like noises.

The only downside of this news: the launch of the collection is only scheduled for spring 2010.

Majesty Entertainment just announced the launch of its new “Shorts” game for Nintendo DS.

Inspired from the movie of the same name that came out last week, this new game will take you or your kids in a world full of adventures. The story begins in Black Falls when a multicolored stone that makes wishes is discovered. This stone quickly brings chaos to the city.

This is when you come in. Choosing to take on the role of one of the four heroes of the movie, you will have to save the city, and reverse all the wishes that went wrong. Each character possesses his own strengths in order to contribute to the saving of Black Falls.

A large number of enemies will cross your path across the 26 levels of the game. Some of those include bomb throwing crocodiles, venom spitting snakes, bats and even monsters.  You will also get some help from extraterrestrials, pterodactyls or even giant wasps that will become your allies in your fight to return the city of Black Falls to its original state.

This new game is available for $19.99 in Canada.

Your daughters are going to be happy! Spin Master has just launched their new doll collection in Canada:  the Liv™.

Daniela, Sophie, Katie and Alexis, are the first four dolls of the Liv™ family and are aimed at little girls aged between 6 and 10.

Why are they so special? According to Spin Master, the dolls’ new styles and personalities gives young girls something to relate to. Each doll comes equipped with a description of her own personality and passions. The Liv™ dolls also have 14 joint articulation points, where most dolls usually only have 5 or 6.

But what girls are really going to dig about these dolls is their interchangeable wigs which instantly changes the coloring and style of their doll as they see fit.

Brik-a-Blok is a game designed to allow kids aged 6 to 12 create cool structures to scale. Produced by the Québec based company Brik-A-Blok Toys, this set of construction panels has already made a name for itself in the toy world.

A set comprises of up to 46 construction panels, 28 lateral ties and 28 corner ties, which builds all kinds of structures like castles, tunnels or personalized playhouses. The 102 pieces can also be combined with an additional set to increase building options and budding creativity during playtime.
