Camilla comes to Canada, brings fashion

Posted by Miriam Lamey on November 5, 2009 in Clothing

Whether you follow England's Royal Family or not, it is hard to escape the fact that Prince Charles and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall (Camilla Parker-Bowles) are currently visiting Canada. Interestingly, Camilla has been making waves with her fashion choices this week.

The regal couple arrived in Canada on November 5 and will be opening the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto on Friday, the Toronto Star reports. However, Camila's fashion has been the subject of scrutiny already, with a variety of negative comments made about her decidion to wear real fur.

The news provider, Macleans.ca expresses that PETA have been quite outraged at her choice of a rabbit fur scarf, even though she wore a fake fur hat. On the other hand, she finished her look with an extremely classy overcoat that was tailored to fit her perfectly.

Camilla's look is mature and could lead fashion for older women - the Duchess of Cornwall is 60 - and her choice of a fake fur hat might serve as fashion inspiration for anyone to stay warm this winter.

Last year, Camilla proved her fashion-icon status as she wore a Vivienne Westwood dress to the annual Royal Variety Performance in England, the Toronto Star reports.
