Canadians: Start the New Year right in a clean home

The Northern Ontario team, the Junior 'A' Trappers are as eager for Canadian families to keep their houses as spick and span as you are to lose that first 5 pounds. According to BayToday.ca, everyone who attends the junior Trappers' game against the Soo Thunderbirds on January 10 will be entered into a prize drawing for a new vacuum.

In other words, it's probably time to take that Christmas tree down, vacuum up the pine needles and tinsel, and move into 2010.

Call it a New Year's Clean, early Spring Clean or a resolution, your trusty vacuum should be getting some exercise soon. Should your vacuum not survive its boot camp, or just stop working entirely, the Calgary Herald offers some advice on purchasing a new model.
