Spring has sprung, and besides melting our Winter blues away, Spring gives us good reason to hit the stores and update our wardrobes with the latest fashion influences from all over the world.
Whereas the mini dress reigned supreme last season, the Maxi is a heavy hitter for Spring 2008. The maxi is a good fit for most body types because of its long and flowing design which camoflages a multitide of sins around the waist and hips. The mini hasn't quite made an official exit yet, but this season's mini has been updated with flowing sheer fabrics, and colorful geometric designs and colorblocking.

Say goodbye to platforms and clear out your shoe racks to welcome the wedge. Fussy heels make way for solid wedges fashioned from wood, cork, woven straw etc. Bold tribal prints are hot this season and if you don't feel you have the confidence to carry them off in your clothing, accessories such as shoes and bags will give you your quick fix.

There are not many designers who don't take the opportunity in their Spring collections to remind us how much we miss wearing white during the Winter months.

Floaty romantic scarves are the season's top accessories - use them as a sash, headband, or as an ascot to cover up a risque neckline. Silk scarves feel good, look rich and luxurious, and have their uses in both warm and cool weather.

Full and flouncy, long or short: comfort is key for Spring 2008! Tribal and animal prints are front and center, while sheers salute the feminine figure. Colours are either fresh Spring brights or earthy neutrals. The most important tip to successfully wearing the new skirt, is to balance the look out with a slimmer silhouete on the top.
